KN Energies, AB, legal entity code 110648893, registered office at Burių g. 19, LT-92276 Klaipėda, Lithuania (hereinafter – the Company or KN, KN Energies, We), acting as the Data Controller, provides Data Subjects with the information set out below.

To exercise their rights, the Data Subject must submit a written request to the Company at Burių g. 19, Klaipėda, or, signed with a qualified electronic signature, by email to info@kn.lt.

KN Energies Privacy Policy

The purpose of Privacy Policy is to establish common personal data protection principles mandatory for all Group companies, and to define the measures and responsibilities ensuring compliance with the GDPR and other applicable legislation.

Information on the rights of the data subject and the exercise of those rights is provided at the end of this document.

Informing Data Subjects

In accordance with the applicable data protection laws, the Company, acting as the Data Controller, has an obligation to inform the Data Subject about the processing of their personal data carried out by the Company.

Rights of Data Subjects and Their Exercise

Personal data are processed in compliance with and ensuring the following rights of Data Subjects (except where a statutory exemption applies):

  • the right to know or to be informed about the processing of personal data;
  • the right to access the personal data being processed;
  • the right to request the completion of incomplete or the rectification of inaccurate personal data;
  • the right to request the erasure of the Data Subject’s personal data;
  • the right to request the restriction of the processing of personal data;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to object to the processing of personal data;
  • the right not to be subject to automated decision-making and profiling;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the State Data Protection Inspectorate.


Data Subject Requests

ThThe rights of Data Subjects are ensured free of charge. Where requests from a Data Subject are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in particular because of their repetitive nature, the Company may either charge a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or communication and/or taking the action requested, or may refuse to act on the request, providing a justified explanation.

Data Subjects may submit requests to the Data Controller for the exercise of any of their rights in several ways: directly to the Company, by post, or by electronic means, using the contact details provided in the “Personal Data Protection” section of the Company’s website.

When submitting requests, Data Subjects must verify their identity in the following ways:

  • when submitting a request directly to a Company employee, by presenting a personal identity document;
  • when submitting a request by post, by providing a copy of a personal identity document certified in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts;
  • when submitting a request by electronic means, by signing it with a qualified electronic signature or by using electronic means that ensure the integrity and immutability of the text.

The rights set out in the Policy may be exercised by the Data Subject personally or through a representative. In such cases, the Data Subject’s representative must verify their identity in the manner specified in the Policy, submit a document confirming the representation, and provide any other required information.

Upon receipt of a Data Subject’s request and verification of their identity, the Company shall, without undue delay and in any event no later than one month from receipt of the request and establishment of the Data Subject’s identity, provide the Data Subject with information on the actions taken in response to the request. Taking into account the complexity and number of requests, the Company has the right to extend the one-month period by a further two months, informing the Data Subject of such extension and the reasons for it before the end of the initial one-month period.

Where the Data Subject submits a request by electronic means, the Company shall provide the response by electronic means, unless this is not possible or the Data Subject indicates another preferred method of response.

Where the circumstances specified in the applicable data protection laws are established, the Company may refuse to satisfy the Data Subject’s request by providing a reasoned response and informing the Data Subject thereof in writing.

If the Data Subject believes that their personal data have been or are being processed unlawfully by the Company or that their rights have been infringed, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which in the Republic of Lithuania is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (A.
