Since 2021, the LNG terminal on the island of Krk has been ensuring Croatia’s energy needs and security of supply by providing a new natural gas supply route to Central and South-Eastern European countries. To implement this strategic project of the Republic of Croatia, LNG Croatia LLC was established.
The Krk LNG Terminal comprises a jetty with mooring infrastructure, a firefighting system and an access bridge, the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) LNG Croatia, and a 4.2 km natural gas pipeline connected to the Croatian gas transmission system.
The terminal commenced commercial operations in January 2021.

2016
KN Energies begins providing consultancy services for the Krk LNG Terminal project.
In 2016–2018, KN Energies supported LNG Croatia LLC in the development of the terminal project across the following areas:
review of the regulatory framework;
acquisition of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU);
environmental impact assessment;
engineering solutions and design of the jetty and pipeline (FEED);
support in securing EU financial funding;
assistance with commercial arrangements related to terminal user agreements and operational rules.
